A Partnership between Colorado Springs School District 11
and the Colorado Springs Education Association

A Collaborative Effort to Improve the Quality of Teaching
and Learning in District 11 since 1997

---

Helping Teachers to Learn, Grow, Change and Soar!

---

~ Vision ~
The vision of the Teachers Coaching Teachers program is to promote quality teaching and learning in order to raise student achievement.

~ Mission ~
The Teachers Coaching Teachers program provides prompt, personal and effective peer coaching to teachers who seek to improve their pedagogy by implementing appropriate best practices for all learners.

---

~ Goals ~

---

We are accomplished teachers who:

  • Serve as a resource for teachers by providing non-threatening, non-evaluative, impartial, collaborative coaching and instructional guidance in the classroom.
  • Serve as a resource for principals in providing instructional growth and support for teachers in the classroom.
  • Strengthen the development of a high quality work force to increase student achievement.

Philosophy

---

All teachers find themselves challenged in their instructional roles and responsibilities at some point in their career.  This is particularly true in today’s world of education where new initiatives, changes in society and increased expectations are a part of an educator’s job.

Teachers need each other more than ever to positively support and encourage quality teaching.  Gone are the days when only teachers who are “in trouble” ask for help.  Wise educators know it is smart to seek advice whether as a beginning teacher or veteran teacher.

You are invited to participate in a job embedded professional growth experience with another teacher in a positive, peer coaching relationship.

Testimonial of a Teacher~
“TCT has been excellent in their support to help me reach my goals.  I am looking forward to using the TCT team next year to help me “tighten up” classroom management and begin to incorporate differentiated instruction.”

~Testimonial of a Principal ~
“This is the most exciting program I’ve been able to work with - the best ever in all my years of being a principal.”

~Testimonial of a Coach~
“I love coaching – the relationships I make are so important to me.  My “coachees” help me as much as I help them – this reciprocal relationship is a gift in itself!”
